Timex T5J151 Reviews

rated 5 out of 5 Fabulous watch
by JayPea , 2010-07-30

After searching for a watch I could use for working out and casual activities, I found this one and couldn't be happier. The band fits even my large wrist with room to spare (I usually have to go for a men's size). It is light weight and I have forgotten I'm wearing it several times today! Setting all the modes was very easy and the directions are clear and basic. For my needs, this is the perfect, basic watch and I'm happy that its still feminine enough to look cute.

rated 5 out of 5 A Good Watch

The Timex is a good watch for the money. It has many features more expensive watches may not have. The features of the watch include a stopwatch and a calendar.

rated 4 out of 5 Cheap and cheerful
by New Yorker living in TX from Austin, TX, 2010-07-25

I've had this for about a month. Have been in light rain and it still works. I wouldn't take it swimming.
It works fine. Great to take on vacation especially in a plane when you want to know what time it is but your cell phone is turned off. My husband sets it for me since I have little patience for that kind of thing. He doesn't seem to have a problem with it. I don't expect it to last for a long time. I guess I have low expectations and with a watch that costs only $13.50 I think that's a good thing. I do recommend it.

rated 2 out of 5 Water resistance is futile
by w_hunter_w from ATL, GA USA, 2010-07-24

Though advertised as water resistant to 50 meters, a depth of one meter was sufficient to fog up the interior of the crystal. And although I didn't expect an actual crystal at this price point, the plastic used is rather easily scuffed. Glad it only cost $15 or so...

rated 1 out of 5 Not waterproof as advertised...
by Roxie Smith from Washington, DC, 2010-06-13

I'm sure this watch works fine if you don't really expect it to be waterproof, or sweat proof, and if you don't live in a humid country. I owned mine for about two weeks before steam collected behind the glass. By week four it stopped working entirely (even though I took it off in the shower, etc.).

Additionally, if you're a runner and plan to use the timers and use the stop watch functions, those can be difficult because of the ridiculous number of buttons you have to push. That wasn't too big a problem for me and I would have given the watch 3 stars based the utility of the buttons... if it hadn't stopped working entirely after 4 weeks.
