Jaeger LeCoultre produce the best in-house movements for the money -- this is known throughout the watch-obsessed world. If you're interested in moving away from the over-expensive mid-range (i.e. high-quality watch cases with quartz or slightly-modified ETA movements), this maker is an excellent bet. Movements are designed and manufactured entirely by JLC, and are hand finished to perfection. Design is derived from their early Reverso model first produced in the 30s (i.e. Art Deco). High-quality heirlooms in the making.
