Casio PAW1300Y-1VCR Reviews

rated 2 out of 5 Hard to readout
by Rajeev Bector from santa clara, CA United States, 2010-03-16

This watch is slim but its hard to read. For some reason, you cannot have the light go on for more than 1 second, something that Casio should have made programmable (given how many configurable items are there in the watch, that one doesnt sound like too much to ask for). Mine also came with a defective battery: No matter what I did, the battery wont charge to "H". I returned it and got the 1500 model instead.

rated 2 out of 5 Casio Men's Reverse LCD Watch

This watch is very hard to read unless you have the perfect light on it.
I was not told Atomic time keeping does not apply in Australia (about the only country).
If I had known the above information I would not have bought it.
The display pictures (Taken with the right light)and the fact is was an Amazon Exclusive was the reason I bought it.

rated 4 out of 5 Nice quality watch, I doubt it is worth the price
by Corey H. Perez from Fairbanks (AK), 2010-02-25

I have only had this watch for a couple weeks, but I have already noticed color (scratch) coming off the bezel. Not at all what I would expect from a $250 watch.

The "Light button" is on the bottom and I wear my watch face down, this causes the light to get turned on very often, and is VERY cumbersome. If they had put it in a more sensible spot (top right) I would love this watch, and even be able to overlook the easily scratching bezel.

I purchased this watch based on the name "Path Finder" and their reputation, and the color due to the "look" (I'm military and wanted something subdue). I think I would have looked at a less expensive watch so I didn't feel like I was out so much money, money that could have gotten me something else less expensive along the same line had I known how it was going to all work out.

The battery does not last very long, and I recall seeing in the instructions that for each illumination (only last 1 second!!) that it takes 5 minutes in direct sun light or 40 min in artificial lights to re-charge for that use..

I'm giving this 4 stars because it has not failed me, has nice features, but a poor design and the quality is not up to what I would expect from a $250 watch.

Corey

rated 5 out of 5 Such a versatile tool

This is a fine piece of equipment. Besides keeping perfect time, its many other features are remarkable.

rated 1 out of 5 Scratches
by N. Preciado , 2010-02-20

I gave this watch 1 star so that people would read this, the watch aesthetically I would give it a 5 star, but the paint on the watch scratches easily. I don't think it's electroplated witch may help. Casio should give people who bought these painted watches credit for when they use the new technology that the University of Rochester by Professor Chunlei Guo where they actually color the metal clean through, which means no more scratches. Then it would be ment for people it was designed for outdoor people not office people.
